About Jason Gilmore

Jason Gilmore is an Associate Professor of Global Communication at Utah State University. His research focuses on communications that transpire at the intersections of human difference. In particular, he focuses on attaining a better understanding of how public communications can impact people’s reactions to and interpretations of these perceived differences. He teaches courses in Global Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Culture and Public Discourse. Dr. Gilmore has received multiple awards for his research and for his work with Utah Public Radio. He was recipient of the 2016 College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s Giraffe Award for innovation and risk taking and the 2016-2017 recipient of the USU President's Faculty Diversity Award for championing issues of diversity and inclusion.
