Abstract
Provides a reading of Chaplin's 'Modern Times' focusing specifically on the Red Moon Cafe scene at the end of the movie, and the nonsense song, and discusses Chaplin's commentary on service work and service workers. The paper has now been published in this book. The file attached is the original version presented at a conference in 2004.
