Abstract
(Im)politeness is a complicated subject to study since it involves several linguistic areas - sociolinguistic, discourse analysis, pragmatic and morpho-syntax. This complication further multiplies when the subject under investigation is of historical context which provides limited linguistic clues other than written texts, making it difficult for modern investigators to interpret data accurately.
