About Jane Shimon

Dr. Jane Shimon earned an Ed.D. in Physical Education-Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. Her dissertation research investigated physical activity determinants of young adolescents. Dr. Shimon joined the faculty of the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University in 2001 where she teaches undergraduate health and physical education courses in the K-12 Physical Education program. She has also been a Certified Athletic Trainer at various high schools and universities. Most of her research studies secondary physical education and physical activity among adolescents and adults.
