About Jane E. Dusselier

I began teaching at Iowa State University in Fall 2008 and am currently the Director of Asian-American Studies and Senior Lecturer in the Department of History. I earned a Masters in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College in 1999 and a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005. From 2003-2008 I developed and taught Asian-American Studies at the University of Maryland. My book titled, Artifacts of Loss: Crafting Survival in Japanese American Concentration Camps, was published by Rutgers University Press in 2006. My other publications include book chapters, encyclopedia entries, and scholarly journal articles focusing on food, material culture, and Asian America.
