About Jan Lynch, MS, RN

Jan joined the team at St. Kate's in January of 2022. She received her undergraduate degree (BSN) from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND (1997), and a graduate degree, (MS in Nursing), at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 2008. Jan began her career as a nursing assistant in long-term care, then worked her way through college as an LPN, and finally graduated as an RN. Her career has included roles such as med nurse, charge nurse and manager in long-term care. Her acute care specialty is labor, delivery, post-partum and gynecological care, which she worked at for 12 years in 3 different states. She also has experience as a liaison for an LTAC, a school nurse, a consultant at a law firm that specialized in medical malpractice defense, and at a contract research organization that managed drug trials. Jan entered in to education in 2014, teaching first at a tribal college in North Dakota and eventually becoming chair of the nursing department. She brings experience with accreditation including HLC, ACEN and the Board of Nursing.
