About Jamie Dalbey

I am the Government Documents and Preservation Technician at Memorial Library at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Part of my position focuses on organizing, administering and promoting Federal Government Documents received through the Federal Depository Library Program. Another side to my position involves work co-leading the Library Disaster Team where we revise, review and promote disaster plan policies involving incident response and recovery. In Preservation, my work involves employing appropriate techniques and recommendations to preserve the life and usefulness of Library collections. At this time, I do not mend or repair books that are not Library owned. This is because the Library’s insurance does not cover this service. If you would like a free consultation, email me any time and I can recommend a few options to you. I also play an active role in the Library’s Outreach and Social Media teams and the Library’s Paraprofessional Organization (President). Check out the Preservation/Archives Departments’ blog here.
