Infinite Families of Congruences for Sequences Defined by Rational Generating Functions

Abstract
Drawing inspiration from Ramanujan's partition congruences (e.g. p n (5 4) 0 mod5    ), infinite families of congruences are presented for compositions with parts congruent to a b mod  then proved using generating functions and the advantageous application of field extensions.
