About James Johanning, MPAS, PA-C

Professor James Johanning, MPAS, PA-C is an assistant professor at St. Catherine University in the Physician Assistant Program, a graduate degree path in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health. Johanning added St. Catherine University to his resume in May 2019 after celebrating his 20-year career anniversary as a Certified Physician Assistant. In addition to general medicine, his areas of expertise include all subspecialties of orthopedics and orthopedic surgery. Johanning's experience in general orthopedics, sports medicine, spine surgery and hand surgery -- highlights of his syllabi -- are also shared as part of his teaching and training experience at a variety of continuing medical education conferences. His research interests include innovative teaching strategies as well as highlighting awareness of clinically relevant orthopedic issues. Johanning continues in his professional role in General Urgent Care in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area.
