About James Bailey

Dr. Bailey joined Providence College in 2017. He previously taught at Creighton University and the University of West Florida, and was a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He studied at the University of Tulsa and at Temple University, where he received a PhD in economics in 2014. His research has focused on the effects of government regulations on health care, health insurance and entrepreneurship. His work has been published in numerous academic journals including Small Business Economics, the Journal of Risk and Insurance, and the Journal of Health Economics.
