About Jaime Grookett

Research suggests teacher training programs significantly impact teacher retention and teacher job satisfaction. As these are current issues plaguing school systems today, we are examining how stronger support during the student-teacher internship can impact teacher attrition and job satisfaction once students graduate and are practicing in the field. Specifically, we are focusing on training collaborating teachers to be stronger mentors for student teachers and supporting collaborating teachers as they grow professionally to determine if this has an impact on the retention and job satisfaction of their student interns.
