Abstract
Stricter guidelines for Connecticut’s daycares needed to fight coronavirus

As public health professors who have devoted our careers to health promotion and disease prevention, the seemingly strict concepts of social distancing and “shelter-in-place are logical, effective measures to slow disease spread. As mothers who have suddenly become immersed in overhauling courses for online delivery while at home with our young children all week, the reality is exhausting. Despite the stress of dealing with this new hunkered down existence, we know all of these measures are absolutely necessary to protect our fellow community members. For this reason we are deeply concerned with the latest state executive order.
