About Jon Bullock

There can be no doubt that our world is an ever-changing one; I learned long ago that music chronicles these changes as nothing else can. My goal as an ethnomusicologist is to highlight music's capability to influence and elucidate the beliefs, thoughts, and actions of both individuals and societies. My thesis research delves into the issue of music censorship in the Christian church. Others of my smaller research projects feature information on music in society, music in public policy, and music in religion. As I hope my research will demonstrate, music history is history. Understood in this way, music is not just an expressive art; it is also a living and powerful commentary on the human experience in every field and throughout every era of human existence.
