Abstract

Urges caution in the application of broadly predicted medical offset effects in marketing managed behavioral health care services and its implication to the role of professional psychology in guiding quality assurance and cost effectiveness in primary practice groups. Use of simple percentage change in hospital care use and cost; Credibility of managed care contracts.
