About Iván Díaz

Iván Díaz is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the department of Biostatistics in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He received his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California at Berkeley, where he worked on semiparametric inference methods for causal and predictive analyses under the mentorship of Mark van der Laan.
His research interests span various areas of general statistical methodology, and include the study of semiparametric estimation methods coupled with machine learning techniques. He is also interested in the study and definition of causal and statistical parameters that adequately answer the subject-matter expert's question of interest.
