Abstract
The different backgrounds and disciplines represented in this collective illustrate an interest in the decompartmentalization of knowledge. It aims to complement the different points of view. The field of deafness, often considered almost exclusively from the angle of impairment and from a medical point of view, is approached here from the angle of difference and from a social and plural perspective. It gives a voice to the various fields (anthropology, didactics, ethnology, linguistics, speech therapy, psychology) thus contributing to a better understanding of deafness, in particular from psychosocial, didactic and linguistic perspectives. There is no doubt about the originality of this collection of texts: rare books entirely written in French are devoted to deafness in a multidisciplinary vision.
