About Isabel Ramos

I got my doctorate degree in Information Technologies and Systems, specialization in Information Systems Engineering and Management, from University of Minho in 2001. I got my aggregation degree in Information Systems and Technologies from University of Minho in 2012. I am Assistant Professor with Aggregation in the Information Systems Department of the University of Minho, Portugal.
I am President of the Portuguese Chapter of AIS and Secretary of the Technical Committee 8 (Information Systems) of IFIP – International Federation for Information Systems as well as the Portuguese representative.
I coordinate the research group “Information Systems and Technologies ifor transformation of Organizations and Society” of the Centre Algoritmi. I advise several PhD and Master dissertations in the area of Knowledge Management and Innovation. I have been the principal researcher in several projects in partnership with Portuguese companies and governmental agencies. These projects focus organizational memory, distributed cognition supported by Information Systems, and crowdsourcing innovation and civic engagement. I am author and co-author of four books and more than 10 dozens of scientific and technical papers in peer reviewed journals.
