About Irving Rosenbaum

Irving Rosenbaum, D.P.A., Ed.D., is Executive Dean and Provost at the Health Professions Division of Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Rosenbaum previously served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Professional Affairs. From 1994 to 1997 he was director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, at the Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Rosenbaum has been teaching at NSU since 1976. Dr. Rosenbaum spent nearly a quarter century in city management serving as City Manager of Hollywood, Florida, Town Administrator of Davie, Florida, Assistant to the Mayor in Lauderhill, and in New York City government. Rosenbaum is an organizer and director of Regent Bank, a community bank with branches in Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, West Palm Beach, and Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr. Rosenbaum's public service activities include serving as Chair and Vice-chair of the Broward County Higher Education Facilities Authority, on the State of Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council, and as a member of the Broward County Charter Review Commission. Rosenbaum's current activities include serving as Chair of the Davie Economic Development Council and as a director of the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Rosenbaum also served on the Board of Palmetto General Hospital. He also serves on the board of the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center of South Florida.
