AbstractEffect of initial notch on the Fatigue crack growth of Aluminum 6061 specimen specified by ASTM is investigated. Growth rate obtained by experiment and numerical methods were compared. The values are in close agreement. The study shows the dependency of crack propagation on the stress intensity range of the Aluminum.
