This very brief outline of a possible future article notes the tendency of some to avoid the speaking of former President Trump's name and likens it to the unwillingness of certain characters in J. K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series of books to speak the name of the arch-villain Voldemort. Without taking a position, political or otherwise, this essay suggests that this practice gives more power to words than they posess, and suggests that we should think about words, and the way we use and interpret them, more realistically.
