Abstract
Academic catalogers explore recent changes in subject heading and thesauri use. A brief history of Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) from the Paris Principles to IFLA’s Statement of International Cataloguing Principles will be presented. Our investigation into the use of thesauri other than LCSH in large academic libraries will be shared, as well as recommendations for use in a shared catalog.
