About Hyun Kwon

Hyun J. Kwon grew up in South Korea and received her BS (1996) and MS (1998) from the department of chemical engineering at KAIST. She came to the United States to study and receive her PhD (2002) from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisville. She joined Andrews University as an assistant professor after she finished her post-doctoral training at the University of Maryland. She teaches various engineering subjects including control theory, heat transfer and thermodynamics, among others. Her enthusiasm towards teaching and research at Andrews grows stronger to best serve her students and God.
Hyun J. Kwon has been working on development of biosensors and characterization of biomolecular events. She has also developed expertise in simulation work on fluid and mass transport phenomena. She is currently working on developing an affordable paper based diagnostic devices for third world and quick response to onset of diseases.
