Usefulness of the single publication h-index
(2016)

Abstract
Although the single publication h-index has several deficiencies of the original h-index, this letter proposes it as very useful as it has an excellent predictive power and as it is robust. In fact, it solves important problems in Scientometrics more efficiently than the number of citations such as the elimination of insignificant papers from the h-core of a scientist and the determination of the citation activity of a given paper.
