About Hossein Abedsoltan

Dr. Hossein Abedsoltan was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Kansas. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toledo, Ohio, a Master of Science from Miami University, Ohio, and a Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. His research centers on sustainable chemical processes, with notable advancements in the hydrolysis of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and safe chemical handling. Dr. Abedsoltan has authored influential papers on public health, environmental sustainability, and economic feasibility in chemical engineering. He has lectured at the University of Kansas since 2024 and previously instructed and mentored students at the University of Toledo. From 2018 to 2022, he directed the Materials Laboratory at the University of Toledo and served as vice president of the Graduate Student Association, organizing the Midwest Graduate Research Symposium. Recognized for his academic and research achievements, he has received multiple awards and completed additional educational programs, including a Mini MBA and various safety and leadership certificates. Dr. Abedsoltan continues to make significant contributions to chemical engineering, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and safety.
