About Hendrika (Rycki) Maltby

Hendrika (Rycki) Maltby, PhD, RN, FRCNA:
My background is in community/public health nursing and I have been teaching in a university setting in Canada, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, and now the USA. I have been at the University of Vermont since January 2000 and teache community-based participatory research, community/public health nursing, health promotion, and cultural health care, most of which include service-learning. I organize study abroad experiences for nursing students to Australia, Denmark, and most recently, a Faculty Led Program Abroad to Bangladesh. My research, publications, and conference presentations reflect community-based issues, with a current project looking at cultural immersion model development with international partners.
