About Helen Y. Chu

A Frye Leadership Institute Fellow with a background in library, academic, and administrative computing at University of Oregon Libraries, Columbia University, UCLA, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Robert E. Kennedy Library, Helen Y. Chu has led campus efforts to provide integrated faculty instructional and research computing support, leadership in content and pedagogically-driven technology integration, physical and virtual learning space design. She has served as project leader in campus-wide initiatives such as the Blackboard to Canvas migration, various capital projects and renovations including the Cal Poly Learning Commons, a collaborative digital teaching and learning environment, and an Internet2 faculty R&D lab. She is an active member of the Faculty Advisory Council, a confidential advisory group to the President and Provost of the University of Oregon, and is active member with EDUCAUSE.
