Building Early Number Sense: Understanding Your Students’ Struggle by Making Sense of Counting and Regrouping

Abstract
Participants will complete an activity using snap cubes to help them make sense of grouping, begin to understand the struggle their students' may have, work on regrouping strategies, and find patterns in a number chart. Participants will be "out of their comfort zone" as they work through tasks, so need to come with an open mind and a "never give up" attitude.
