About Hector Puebla

Hector Puebla was born in San Luis Potosí, México, in 1974. He received the B.Sc. degree from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí, México, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa, Mexico, in 1999, and 2002, respectively. From September 2002 to May 2006 he held a sientific researcher position at the Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo working on control applications for petrochemical processes. Since May 2006 he has been with the Department of Energy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Azcapotzalco. His research interest include control applications in chemical and biochemical systems, control of distributed parameter systems and chaos engineering applications. He has published more than 30 technical papers in different international journals and 20 contributions in chapters of specialized control books and conferences proceedings. Dr. Puebla is currently the coordinator of Processes Analysis Area at the UAM-A.
