About Harold W. Borns Jr.
My research interests are in the fields of glacial and Quaternary geology with applications to determining paleoclimate history in various parts of the world, glacial-marine sedimentation, sea-level changes and the ice-margin environments of Paleoindians.
Recent and ongoing projects focus on definition of a late Pleistocene ice cap on the continental shelf off western Ireland, changing surface levels of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet since the Last Glacial Maximum, definition of Younger Dryas-age environments in northern New England, deglacial history of the Northeast and the environments of Paleoindian sites in northern Maine.
