This is Gwyn, reporting from Ashland, Oregon and I am so happy to be the Desk Set Guest Blogger. As I write from the wilds of Oregon, I can’t help but fondly reminisce about Brooklyn Biblioballs and Dance, Dance Library Revolutions and all the Desk Setters back in NYC. I miss you. And now I get to catch you up on all my archival adventures since I left! I have to begin with what feels like a bit of a confession coming from a new librarian in 2011…I have never blogged. It’s true, I have a recent MSLIS, I have a passion for the written word, and I’m a life-long on-again-off-again “dear diary” writer– and yet I’m very timid about this blog phenomenon. But as you will learn if you’d like to follow along with me for the next month, this is the year of me trying new things (including becoming a librarian) and so here I go, jumping in with total abandon and blah blah blahging away!
