AbstractThe article presents a study which examines the importance of social network policies and the use of social networking in organizations in northern Texas. The study surveys 241 attendees from various chapter meetings of the Society for Human Resource Management in the state, and reveals that 85 percent of the organizations utilize Facebook and more than 40 percent employ LinkedIn and Twitter. It is found out that only half of those with social networks implement social networking policies.
