About Gulcin Cribb

Gulcin Cribb is currently University Librarian at Singapore Management University. Prior to that, she was Director of Libraries at Ozyegin University in Istanbul, Turkey, from 2008 to 2011. Her previous roles include Director of Information Services at Bond University and Executive Manager of Physical Sciences & Engineering Library at the University of Queensland in Australia. She also taught librarianship at universities both in Australia and in Turkey. Gulcin is passionate about librarianship as a career and has a keen interest in mentoring, coaching and advocacy for the profession.
Gulcin has extensive experience in the areas of research support, technology management, strategic management, innovation, learning spaces, information literacy, library-faculty-industry partnerships, marketing and virtual libraries. She has led a number of research projects involving specialised services to high level researchers, use of ICT in teaching and learning and quality & assessment at various universities and produced over 60 articles, conference papers and reports. She won the best paper award at the 1998 Annual Conference and Exposition of ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education) in Seattle, Washington.
Gulcin is a member of three library associations, ALIA, LAS and Turkish Library Association. She is also a member of SJLIM (Singapore Journal of Library and Information Management) editorial board.
