The American economy is doing far better than people think. The stock market is strong and our unemployment is at 5%. Out deficit is very low in relation to the size of our economy. And while the national debt is considerable, it is still well below the relative national debts of other countries. While Presidential candidates and the media tend to sensationalize our economic woes, the data show that we are doing much better than the gloomy naysayers claim.
