About Gisselle Pombar

Gisselle Pombar was born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Central Florida. She plans to obtain her Ph.D. in Chemistry to become a university professor and to one day assist fellow aspiring students. Her passion for chemistry commenced in high school and further developed in college after taking Organic Chemistry. These professors have influenced and inspired her into working to become an expert in the field and hopes she can do the same with future generations. She participated in Summer Undergraduate Research Program for Diversity in Chemistry at Princeton University working under Professor Paul Chirik. She is now currently assisting Dr. Song Lin through a Fall research internship at Cornell University.
