About Giorgos Charalambous

My research interests lie in the domain of comparative european politics and more specifically, the areas of:
- political parties (ideology, organization, radical left) and political behaviour
- domestic politics of European integration (Europeanization, Euroscepticism, European elections)
- south European politics (parties, elections, institutions)
I hold an Msc (in European Public Policy) from UCL and a BA (in Economic Studies and Government) and PhD (in Politics) from the University of Manchester. Currently, I am Senior Research Consultant at PRIO - Peace Research Institute Oslo - Cyprus Centre and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Cyprus. I currently serve as President of the Cyprus Political Science Association (KYSYPE).
My ongoing research focuses on the impact of the crisis on political behaviour, protest and social movements and political trust.
