Undergraduate Research Assistant
Gilarys was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with a Certificate in Children Services. She is an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UCF Marriage and Family Research Institute. Her research interests are in family dynamics. She is working on research about dyadic coping, emotional regulation and psychological distress. Her mentor is Dr. Sejal Barden. She plans to pursue her Master's Degree in Social Work and her license to become a LCSW.
