Love—Inventive to InfinityVincentian Heritage Journal
AbstractGertrude Foley advocates the formation of Vincentian Family members into a network to address the needs of poor persons. In creating this network and starting new projects, she gives advice on how not to become overwhelmed by the tasks, drawn from the responses of Vincentian founders to the same challenges. The secret is to use God’s love, to imitate Jesus in both his virtues and his mission, and to let this “identification with Jesus” empower new works. Those beginning new efforts should start small, seek advice, and wait to discern God’s will.
