Abstract

Today’s business, government, and education news extol repeatedly the virtues of online and mobile technologies to facilitate collaborative activities. Everyone is talking about collaboration; for confirmation, enter the term into Google’s search screen. About 330 million results appear in .13 seconds. Last issue’s editorial discussed collaboration and engagement and the perceived importance of having adults who study online participate in some kind of collaborative endeavor in order to maintain a high level of engagement with the course. This editorial contains the update on the approach taken to facilitate engagement, followed by some more general observations on collaboration.
