Abstract

Technology and science characterize the century; the classrooms in which children are prepared for the workplace increasingly mirror the requirements of the economy. Every day, newsletters emphasize the marketability of people with psycho-social skills such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. We want students who are highly motivated, engaged in learning, and who work together and solve problems alone and in teams. These competencies are the technology age’s addition to traditional subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, science, art, and music.
