About Georgina Argüello

Georgina Argüello is an Assistant Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs for Bilingual Programs and Associate Professor for the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Most of Georgina’s work experience has been in the higher education setting. She joined NSU in 2003, where she worked in different capacities: Academic Advisor for undergraduate and graduate programs, Assistant Director of Student Recruitment and Enrollment, and Assistant Professor. In addition to her administrative role, Georgina teaches online and blended courses in Organizational Leadership and Higher Education concentrations for domestic and bilingual students. Professor Argüello serves as Committee Chair and Member of doctoral dissertations and as Faculty mentor for the Strategic Research Project (SRP). She is the author of book chapters and articles in indexed and peer-reviewed international journals. Georgina has also done several presentations at national and international conferences. Her research areas include academic advising for non-traditional graduate students, multi-generations in the workforce, various types of leadership in organizations, and the use of technology tools for higher education. She also serves as the university's alternate Institutional Review Board (IRB) representative.  Georgina holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, a master’s degree in Business Administration, a Doctorate in Education, a graduate certificate in Evaluation and Assessment, and a Post-doctorate in Qualitative Research with an emphasis on Data Analysis.
