Abstract
The Women in World Religions and Spirituality Project is a free online encyclopedia produced by scholarly experts in the fields of religious studies, theology, history, and the study of spirituality.

Mother Basilea (Klara) Schlink co-founded the Evangelical (originally Ecumenical) Sisterhood of Mary in Darmstadt, Germany, following World War II. The sisters came together in prayerful repentance as an immediate response to the perceived grace of God, to the violence of the war, and to the complicity of Gentile German Christians in the Holocaust.
