About Gary B. Hughes
In the Statistics Department at Cal Poly, I mainly teach introductory statistics courses for non-majors, including Probability and Stochastic Processes, and Statistical Methods for Engineers. I occasionally teach courses for statistics majors, such as Statistical Analysis of Time Series, and I also sometimes teach Physical Geology. My research interests include numerical and data analysis, with applications in astronomy, planetary science, geology and infrared imaging.
