About Garry S. Grubbs II

Assistant Professor Garry "Smitty" Grubbs II received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry at Texas A&M University in May 2006 and his PhD in Chemistry at the University of North Texas under Professor Steve Cooke in May 2011. He then went on to do a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Professor Stew Novick of Wesleyan University from 2011-September 2013 when he joined the Chemistry Department faculty at Missouri S&T. Along with being the Associate Advisor of the Mars Rover Design Team on campus, Assistant Professor Grubbs is currently the Chair-Elect for the Local Section of the American Chemical Society.
