Abstract

Difficulties arise in the modeling of impacts with friction of pseudo-rigid bodies. Specifically, these are the problems of contact velocity reversal and negative energy loss. Similar issues arise in the rigid case. In this work we adapt to the pseudo-rigid case a method proposed by Brach for dealing with such problems in the rigid context.
