Abstract
This paper discusses the reciprocal relationships between plants and herbivores. It also explains how diversity of plant biochemicals influences plant and herbivores. The influence of grazing on plant biochemical diversity is illustrated using the sagebrush [Artemisia tridentata] steppe ecosystem.
