Associate Dean Social Work
Francis Origanti, Ph.D., MSW is Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the School of Social Work at Sacred Heart University. As of December 2022 Professor Origanti will serve as interim vice president of mission integration and ministry until the position being vacated by Father Anthony Ciorra is filled. Dr. Origanti has been with the University since July 2021 and currently serves as associate dean for the School of Social Work. He has been serving as co-chair with Father Tony for the President’s Forum on Mission & Catholic Identity. In accepting the interim position, he noted that the social work principles of service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, integrity and competence that are integrated in the University’s mission and values have provided framework for his professional development and have enabled him to be a good social worker and a better professional.
