About Florian Sichling

Florian Sichling is a social worker from Germany. He received his Ph.D. from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago in 2015. His research examines the transition to adulthood of disadvantaged immigrant and minority youth in the U.S. and Germany. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Dr. Sichling gained practical experience working with Turkish immigrant youth in West Germany and as an anti-racist organizer in East Germany. As an assistant professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Dr. Sichling teaches undergraduate courses and serves as an MSW student advisor.
