About Fernando Castillo Cadena

A native of Colombia, Fernando Castillo Cadena's own research interests are in the area of regulatory law and law and economics.
Winner of the José Ignacio de Márquez Prize (2006) for the article "El Otorgamiento de Garantías en el Derecho de la Libre Competencia: Un análisis Económico y Jurídico" coauthored with Carlos Uribe and receiver of an honor mention (in 2009) for his work "De la integración Internacional, los subsidios, la protección social y el convenio de seguridad social con el Reino de España".
He earned his law degree from the Universidad Santo Tomás (Bucaramanga, Colombia), his master of laws from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and his doctor of laws degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
He lectures law and economics, public finance, social security and economic law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
