Abstract
At the end of XX century, some latin american governments were indentified as left wing orientated. The beguinning of this trend was in 1998 with Hugo Chavez as head of the Bolivariana Republic of Venezuela and was followed by Brazil, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Uruguay, Argentina and, at thle local scale, México City. This essay analyses the left wing policy and the territorial impacts of this developement.
