John Wotiz Professor of Chemistry at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois was Chairman of the History of Chemsitry Division of the American Chemical Society. He explored establishing a national center for chemical history. That idea eventually came to fruition and today is the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia.
